Vegetable Spread

  • cup of soaked cashews
  • tablespoon onion powder
  • soy sauce to taste
  • 1/2 cup water
  1. Cover nuts with water.
  2. Blend in food processor or blender until smooth.
  3. Serve with crackers or vegetables.

Hummus

  • 1 1/2 cup chick peas
  • 3/4 cup of tahini
  • 2 cups sundried tomatoes
  • 3 garlic cloves chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of tamari sauce
  • juice of 3 limes
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  1. Soak the chick peas in pure water for at least 24 hours.
  2. Process soaked chickpeas in food processor for 1 minute.
  3. With the processor running, add tomatoes, tahini, & chopped garlic.

  4. Add lime juice and olive oil process for several minutes until smooth.  It may take up to 10 minutes until smooth.  It may take up to 10 minutes to achieve a homogenous paste.
